The family of Ilan Hurtado are pleased to announce an annual scholarship in Ilan’s name of $5,000, to be granted to an elementary student of a single parent household.
Ilan attended the Montessori School of Lake Forest from the age of 4 until his death at 9. The MSLF community had been a big part of Ilan and his family’s life, and they are pleased to be able to support other children in having the same positive experience.

Remembering Ilan Hurtado (2004-2014)
Ilan Hurtado was a 5th year Upper Elementary student when he passed away from injuries sustained during a car accident in August 2014.
A celebration of Ilan’s life was held on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Laurel Drive Campus of the Montessori School of Lake Forest.
Friends and family also gathered on Monday, September 21, 2015 for a remembrance ceremony and to formally dedicate Ilan’s Nook and Ilan’s Cove at the Laurel Drive Campus. It is through these special ceremonies that we help the children and Ilan’s family to continue to embrace the circle of life.
