MSLF and Students Recognized for Achievement During 2017 National Latin Exam
Apr 30, 2017

Congratulations to all six adolescent students who voluntarily decided to try their hand at the 2017 National Latin Exam. The Montessori School of Lake Forest earned a Certificate of Merit for our participation. Our students were joined by over 149,000 students from all 50 states and 16 other countries, including Australia, Belize, China, France, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

Not only was our school recognized for its encouragement of Latin and the efforts of our students, but three students earned special recognition for their achievement. One of our 8 th years earned a Certificate of Achievement for the Introduction to Latin Exam.  Our 9 th years taking the Latin I Exam each earned a medal: one earned a Silver Medal, Maxima Cum Laude, and the other earned a Gold Medal, Summa Cum Laude.

Congratulations!

Age 6 and age 12 in Montessori are referred to as the capstone years. During these years children really dive into big work and develop their self-confidence.
