Dear Parents,

Thank you for your interest in the Montessori School of Lake Forest (MSLF). We foster the development of critical thinkers, independent spirits, and caring individuals, and we welcome you to see first-hand what MSLF can offer your child. We look forward to introducing you to our school and to getting to know you and your child. Let’s explore the opportunity of providing your child a life-long love of learning and a strong foundation for life.

MSLF’s earnest commitment to superior Montessori education for children 15 months through 12 years is evident in the institution’s 50-year history. Children enjoy coming to school here each day because their days are filled with meaningful work…work that enables their self-discovery of the world around them and promotes their neurological development. When children “learn by doing,” the learning is more effective, more efficient, and more joyful. Here children fulfill their greatest potentials in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Our distinguished faculty and comprehensive curricula foster in students mindsets of innovation, creativity, independence, leadership, analytical thinking and resourcefulness, to name a few. Our foreign language programs and extra-curricular activities provide ample opportunities for well-rounded involvements. Our Laurel Drive Campus’ 5.5-acre outdoor learning space – prairie, woodland, wetland, and savanna – allows students to experience the wonders of nature.

We welcome you to review our admissions process, complete our online inquiry form or to contact us with questions or to schedule an appointment to tour our campuses.

Thank you for considering the Montessori School of Lake Forest.

I was reminded again what an impact MSLF has made on my child…

Today, I took my son and his friend to Heron Creek Forest Preserve and, to my surprise, instead of running wild like he usually does outside, he taught us how to identify different plants along the trail and took initiative to educate his friend and me about the wild botany. I had no idea you can find wild bergamot right here in the forest preserve. We rubbed dried bergamot heads and enjoyed the wonderful lemony smell and then saw tiny seeds that were left in our palms. He also showed us what switch grass looks like, and milkweed. I was reminded again what an impact MSLF has made on my child and how proud he makes his parents.
