What a beautiful season at MSLF! 🍂

Each season at MSLF brings its own special gift, but this year, autumn has been particularly amazing. Our warmer days and cool nights have made the changing of the colors last a bit longer than usual, giving us even more time to enjoy the spectacular color changes in our big backyard. Children have been able to spend more days exploring our outdoor environment and everything that autumn has to offer, from seed harvesting and distribution to collecting the wide variety of leaves from the trees on our 5.5 acres. We’ve also been able to see how the change in season changes some of our routines, including which shoes we need to wear as we go outside, and moving from making refreshing fruit salad to warm, comforting soup.

We are grateful for our Montessori lessons in our classrooms each day, but we are equally grateful to be surrounded by such a beautiful outdoor space, right here at school, to observe and learn all about the changing of seasons.
