60 Years in the Making
MSLF was founded in 1966 by a group of dedicated parents, who had formed a study group dedicated to the educational theories of Dr. Maria Montessori. We are excited to mark the school's 60th anniversary during the 2026-2027 school year.
This year marks an incredible milestone — 60 years for the Montessori School of Lake Forest. Since 1966, our mission has remained steadfast: to develop the whole child, cultivate curiosity and a lifelong love of learning, and give each MSLF child a strong foundation for life. As we celebrate six decades of impact, growth, and community, we invite you to join us throughout the year for a series of events, stories, and moments that honor our past and look ahead to our future.
