Teacher Appreciation Week: Candace Weir
May 04, 2021

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! At MSLF, we are grateful for our teachers each and every day, and this week we pay special tribute each of them!

Have you met Candace Weir, who leads one of our Toddler classrooms? This is Candace’s 4th year at MSLF, and second year leading in our Toddler community. When not at MSLF, she can be found practicing yoga or baking (yum!), or playing with her two dogs, Harley and Finley!

When asked “Where do you see Montessori in the next 100 years?”, Candace said: “I see Montessori education continuing to adapt with the times without compromising the values and beliefs the philosophy brings!” It’s no wonder that, if she could ask Dr. Maria Montessori one question, she would “ask her what she would’ve done to transition a Montessori education into a virtual one!”😄

Thank you, Candace, for all you do for the children at MSLF each day! ☮ ❤ 🦉

Age 6 and age 12 in Montessori are referred to as the capstone years. During these years children really dive into big work and develop their self-confidence.
