Teacher Appreciation Week: Kathryn Jasinski
May 06, 2021

Kathryn Jasinski has led in our Lower Elementary classrooms for 18 years, but her Montessori journey started long before that, as she can count 45 years working in schools! Miss Jasinski is a passionate advocate of Montessori education, having studied the philosophy as well as serving as a consultant and guide to student teachers. Her career and training have taken her all over the world, to places like Australia, Sweden, Japan, Ireland, the UK and Finland (to name a few!)

Miss Jasinski brings her passion for Montessori education into her classroom, and values the supportive community of parents, staff, faculty and administration at MSLF. She also loves the beautiful property at MSLF. Her peaceful, early morning photographs of the “MSLF backyard” are a frequent feature in our social media posts!

Miss Jasinski’s students enjoy hand written notes from her, long after leaving her classroom, as she is an avid note writer. When not at school, she enjoys time gardening.

Thank you, Miss Jasinski, for all you do for the children at MSLF each day!☮❤🦉

Age 6 and age 12 in Montessori are referred to as the capstone years. During these years children really dive into big work and develop their self-confidence.
